ABOUT US
Upward Mobility Ministries, Inc. has been Rev. Diggs' vision for several years. He was greatly influenced by his grandmother, Mary E. Diggs, who worked in the Athens community of Monroe County to help the marginalized. He was also influenced by his mentor in ministry, Rev. Benjamin Wax, who encouraged him to further his education and help others in the community to do likewise. As a result, Rev. Diggs has been instrumental in assisting many individuals in reaching their full potential in the areas of education and job placement. His goal throughout his years of ministry has not just been to help the people he served grow spiritually, but more importantly to grow in every area of their lives. The vision came to fruition in June 2019 when Upward Mobility Ministries was incorporated as a charitable organization in the State of Mississippi.
An organization exclusively charitable under IRS Section 501c(3), Upward Mobility Ministries, Inc. is a life-changing ministry aimed at empowering socially and economically disadvantaged persons in helping themselves through various services. Although the catchment area is the Mississippi Delta which is where Rev. Diggs currently serves in ministry, through the work of a community educator and motivational speaker, the organization will also cover other areas of North Mississippi.
